The Season of Hope

Fall is here! Ahh, smell the pumpkin spice lattes in the air. Soak it in…deep into the pores. Enjoy this season. Enjoy what it has to offer: red apples, plump pumpkins, beautiful pies, hot cider, cool weather, colorful leaves, warm fireplaces, thanksgiving and so much more! This is the season to just take in the blessings of God. He has given so much and continues to pour out with each new day: a gorgeous sunrise, new mercies, unconditional love, unfathomable grace, unending joy, abundant life, beauty, family, friends, bugs, grass, hills, oceans, rivers, trees, sunshine, falling rain, laughter, sunsets and HOPE. He give us hope for the desires our hearts; for today’s season to be our prayers answered. Hope.

When I think about hope I think of my Cousin Stephanie. We are clinging to hope that this will be the season of remission and healing for all those with Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA). This fall season is her big fundraiser to help fund a cure for FA.  This year marks the 7th Annual Stephanie’s Hope Holiday Boutique! I have had the honor to go to and participate in the these beautiful boutiques. I look forward to them every year!

Stephanie and her family pour their hearts and souls into each year’s event. It is spectacular. You can feel the love, joy, and hope. Shoppers can come and find many unique, tasty, and beautiful items for Christmas gifts and everyday living.  You can expect to see 25 creative vendors, exciting raffles (seriously, they are INCREDIBLE), a delicious bake sale, Stephanie and her family/friends, and so much more!  (see below for some pictures from last year; trust me, it’s a lot prettier in person!)
